The team is proffesionaly guided by Physique, the national health - and trainingsbureau. Together with Physique the team has made a very detailed training scheme to respect everyday. This will maximize the odds to reach the summit and ski back down.

Training is sorted out into different zones:

  • Power training
  • Interval training at heart rate (HR) 180-200
  • Endurance training: trainings of 60-120 minutes, HR=160
  • Never ending trainings: longer than 10 hours!
  • Teambuilding: the team trains together to encounter difficult situations to learn to respond adequately.
  • Mental training: extreme sporters have to be very fit in their mind.


            
The team members are tested every 2 months. Most important is the endurance test on the hometrainer.
